I’m used to the conventional way of preparing noodles, because it is easy and quick to make, But since I tried cooking with this method, it has been the one I always use for my noodles. This method definitely makes me crave for more, because of the delicious output it produces and I’ve realized, that it is more nutritious than the instant noodles. If you try it, I’m sure you will enjoy it.
Ingredients.
1. Noodles(popularly know as Indomie in Nigeria😂whereas indomie is just a brand of noodles).
2. Olive oil/ vegetable oil; based on your preference.
3.Curry
4. Turmeric
5. Carrots/ Green pepper
6. Ginger/ Garlic
7. Onions/pepper
8. Sausage/Suya( Suya is a spicy meat skewer which is a popular food item in West Africa).
9.Egg
Preparation.
>>Chop your onions, pepper, ginger garlic, carrots and green pepper into cube sizes.
>>Boil your egg.
>>Cut your sausage/ suya pieces into small pieces.
Method.
>>Pour water into the pot, turn on the heat to medium and allow to boil, then empty your noodle seasoning and also your noodles and allow to cook. I add my turmeric to the boiling water. Then leave to cook…it should be fairly done, but not overcooked. Make sure you stir together and cover the pot.. It needs the steam to cook. Remove from heat and if there is excess water, drain.
>> Put your frying pan on fire and make sure you regulate your heat to avoid your food from getting burnt. Pour in your olive oil and when hot, put all your diced ingredients and allow to fry. You can then add your curry and maggi to taste.
>>when properly fried, put your cooked noodles and stir vigorously till satisfied.
Your noodles is ready. Serve with any chilled drink or even water😉. You can eat with either sausage, fish, meat or egg. The turmeric is responsible for the yellow colour.
How do you like your noodles? Dont forget to give feedback if you try this recipe. Given an option to choose, will you pick this or the instant noodles?
Smile Always and be positive
